Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you submit something to the wall, we collect:

• the name or nickname, city, and content (text, photo, or link) you choose to submit;
• your email address, if you choose to provide one;
• a photo you upload (or a link you share instead of uploading); and
• basic technical data (like your IP address) used only to prevent spam and abuse.

What's public and what isn't

Once approved, your name/nickname, city, and submitted content appear publicly on the wall and its detail page — that's the point of the site. Your email address and IP address are never shown publicly; email is only used to reach you if a moderator needs a small change before your submission can go live, or in response to a request you send us.

Where your data lives

Submissions and account-adjacent data are stored with Supabase, our database and file storage provider. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone beyond Supabase, bound by its own privacy and security commitments. Contributing is free — we don't collect any payment or financial information during submission.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember your language preference (English or Assamese) and, for moderators, a signed session cookie to stay logged in to the admin dashboard. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Your private link

Every submission gets a private status link (a long, random address) that only you have, letting you check on it or request an edit without needing an account. Keep it to yourself — anyone with the link can act on your submission.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to remove your submission or personal information at any time by emailing zubeenfanwall@gmail.com from the email you submitted with (or including your private status link so we can verify it's yours).

We may update this policy as the site evolves; changes will appear on this page.
